To read the Statewide New Jersey Position Paper on the 2006 Reauthorization click HERE. A new position paper by NJSHAC is under construction. It will advocate to extend the Act past its September 2009 sunset.
Here you can find information about Planning Council activities in the Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon Transitional Grant Area (TGA).
The Planning Council is a group of local providers and consumners from Middlesex, Somerset, and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey and its responsible for:
- Identifying the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS;
- Prioritizing those needs and allocating federal Part A funds from the Ryan White CARE Act to community based organizations as appropriate;
- Developing a comprehensive plan to deliver services and meet needs;
- Assessing the administrative mechanism (the agency responsible for administering the grant); and
- Collaborating with other systems and agencies to facilitate the implementation of the comprehensive plan.
